As result of the collision, he suffered numerous fractures to his arms and leg and had to be flown by helicopter to Good Samaritan Hospital. As hard as he worked and as determined as he was, he could not return to the post office or to any job that required work on his feet or heavy or repetitive work with his hands or arms. We have been elected bar presidents, appointed by the Supreme Court to statewide commissions, recognized for pro bono and community service, published in legal journals, and invited to speak at state and local legal education programs.
